One day I shall be the proud owner of these beautiful Christian Louboutin shoes but in the meantime I am finding great joy with the two pairs below. So much so I made two very small films about them. Small being 12 seconds long. Both these pairs are a fraction of the price, compared to the Louboutin’s. The Louboutin’s, incidentally are coming in at just under £500. Hell, think how many external hard drives I could buy with that. As I make films my life is measured by how many hard drives I own.

Mona Vie

Mona Vie has been heralded one of nature’s top superfoods. It is made from fruit juices alongside one of which is the much talked about Brazilian açai berry. I attended a presentation of Mona Vie and made a short video of the evening whilst there.

Look I am not advocating that the claims this juice make are true, neither am I discrediting their claims. The truth is I don’t know. I am certainly not one for multi-level marketing either, but I’m in business myself and a lot goes on in the business world that I find doesn’t sit with me too well either. What can you do? My hope is that the video will save people time, be that in you wanting to know more and thus making an effort to attend a presentation near you or in making you realise you wouldn’t go near it with a barge pole.

I love wallpaper, especially this one found in the ladies toilets at Bentley’s Oyster Bar & Grill. One of my favourite places in London. I sat and watched Murry lose his match in the semi finals there, so got to use the loo a lot.

You have to watch right through to the end of the clip to catch what looks to me like a moonwalk.

I have no doubt that Michael Jackson was inspired by Bill Bailey and perfected the technique.

Cycle Training and Bike Maintenance In London

I was greatly impressed with Cycle Confident who had set up a stall and fixed people’s bikes all day for FREE, at the South West Festival, an event held every year in Westminster including community groups, voluntary, statutory and professional organisations.

They fixed my bike for me. I hopefully showed my gratitude by running off and buying the cycle repair guys a coffee. The truth is, I was just too embarrassed to hang around whilst they tried to find my bike which was under at least one inch of dust. I had not been near my bike for around 18 months. It was in good condition however, and I am pleased to have it back on the pavement……… road.

I have finally read The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. If you too are a few years behind like me, The Tipping Point is an international bestseller that “explains and analyzes the ‘tipping point’, that magical moment when ideas, trends and social behaviours cross a threshold, tip and spread like wildfire.”

For a full breakdown of a what a Maven is like I suggest you read the book, but in short a Maven “is a person who has information on a lot of different products or prices or places. This person likes to initiate discussions with consumers and respond to requests”. I thought about Martin Lewis the Money Making Expert. If ever there was a man who fit the description it is him. Having seen him on TV I have often wondered if he is for real and now I know he is.

Stonewall and Julie Bindal Upset Trans Community

I am late with this one, I know.

I met Ruth whilst coming back from Bicester Village, where I was interviewing men about shopping. Ruth is part of the Trans Community, and was on her way to a demonstration march in London against Stonewalls decision to nominate Julie Bindal for an award.

I certainly learned a lot interviewing Ruth, when it comes to issues and definitions of gender and sexuality, it is a complicated affair it seems.

I really must find out how the march went and if Julie Bindal, did indeed win.

Tuttle in Birmingham

Originally from Brum I am pleased to see that my hometown has an up and running Tuttle Club all of its own. I attend the London Tuttle Club every other week, but shall combine a trip home to visit my parents with a visit to the Birmingham lot.
